General Information

The Nautica Malibu Triathlon will take place on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, 2009! We invite everyone to come out and enjoy a beautiful weekend in Malibu while competing to support a great cause. Over 4,000 athletes are expected to race this weekend. With your determination and help we know that we can offer a tremendous amount of support to a great cause!

The Saturday race will be an Olympic distance race featuring a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run.  Sunday’s race will be a ½ mile swim, 18-mile bike and 4-mile run.  Registration for both races will open Monday, March 2, 2009.

Nautica Tot Trot and Kids Run
On Sunday, September 13, 2009 Nautica invites all kids 12 years of age and under to join in. The Beach Dash will be 50 yards for children 7 and under, and 100 yards for children ages 8-12. Participating children will receive a Tot Trot and Kids Run bag, a commemorative race medal and race t-shirt! So bring your kids and cheer them on as they run for the finish line with a celebrity guest leading the way! There's medals for all the kids too! Tot Trot and Kids Run registration will be available on site race weekend.

Fun Zone
Don’t miss the Fun Zone on Sunday, September 13th! The Fun Zone will host a variety of activities for children of all ages. There will be snacks, games and prizes. Plus you can create unique jewelry and have some treasure to take home.

Wetsuit Rental
XTERRA WETSUIT RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE for the Nautica Malibu Triathlon Xterra Wetsuits, an official sponsor of the Nautica Malibu Triathlon, will have XTERRA WETSUITS available to rent for the event. A triathlon specific wetsuit will improve your overall swim performance. The rental cost is $49 and this charge may be applied to the purchase of a new Xterra Wetsuit.
